Crop Matters offers contract research to evaluate agricultural products in a regional setting. Crop Matters provides companies an unbiased assessment of new or existing agricultural amendments, varieties, and practices. The data obtained and summarized can be an invaluable tool for salesmen and can supply an understanding of the product’s mechanism and effect in local cropping systems. We also work with co-ops and growers directly to identify on-farm problems and research potential solutions.
Studies can be placed in irrigated field/row crops in the Columbia Basin, tree fruit in north-central Washington, or dryland crops in Washington/Idaho.
Randomized, replicated plots can be established, or data can simply be gathered from a large scale grower trial. The data collected is entirely dependent upon customer request and interest. Potential research project examples include:
